As golfers, we know that having a good round is quite simply one of the best feelings on the planet.

Even on bad days there’s plenty that will have us coming back to the course hungry for more. So today we’d like to ask you, what’s your favourite feeling in golf?

Why we play golf

To us, one of the best feelings in golf is when we pull off a perfect tee shot. Think of your favourite tee shot on the golf course. You tee it up high and grab your driver out the bag, you’ve been getting on well with it recently so you feel confident as you set-up to the ball.

Your feet feel perfectly balanced as you move back through your golf swing. Your arms are perfectly in-sync as you move them through your swing, the clubhead making excellent contact with the ball as the center of the head sends it flying off the tee.

If you’re a low-handicap player, you’ll appreciate how everything comes together and you feel like a well-oiled machine when you hit the perfect drive. You’re simply left with the satisfaction of watching the ball tear far and straight just as you intended.

Should you have a high-handicap, hitting your perfect shot feels no less phenomenal. You launch yourself through the ball and feel a grin spread across your face as you watch your ball cut a narrow fade down the middle of the fairway rather than sailing into the rough.

It’s even better when we pull off one of these excellent shots in front of our golfing buddies and they clap us on the back as we hold our pose in celebration of the feat.

We want you feeling that awesome sense of satisfaction more often, so if you’re struggling to land your shots off the tee, we’re available for coaching in the pro shop.

Coaching

Here in the pro shop we offer all kinds of lessons and packages that will see you improving your ability and playing with greater confidence when you’re holding a driver.

Finding the fairway off the tee is paramount to scoring well on any given hole, so driving is a very important aspect of your game to have nailed down.

When you land your ball on the fairway, you have a shorter shot into the green with the ball sitting up nicely. When you veer off into the rough, you risk losing your ball, or needing to chip sideways onto the green to get back in play, resulting in running up big numbers on the scorecard.

Playing with the right equipment in the first place is crucial to ensuring success on the golf course. We have the best golf drivers from Mizuno in the pro shop, each one has been painstakingly engineered to benefit a certain kind of golfer.

The latest Mizuno golf drivers

A fantastic driver offering from Mizuno, the ST-G 440 driver has heaps of adjustability to benefit the discerning golfer. Two separate weights on the back of the head can be moved to give you various degrees of spin, and the overall lighter material helps generate faster ball speeds to give you more distance on your strikes. Overall, this driver is a lot of fun to play with and will have you thinking more tactically on the tee.

Plenty of golfers suffer from a slice, hitting the ball far to the right of the fairway. This can result in feeling the need to drastically try to compensate by setting up to the ball aiming far to the left. If this sounds like you, the ST Max golf driver from Mizuno will be just the tool for you. With a massive 54g back weight, the head feels very stable on this club and is very resistant to off-center strikes. The ST Max also features a Quick Switch hosel that can be manipulated to 4 degrees of adjustability, helping you instantly find the ideal loft for your next strike.
